Savannah, Georgia is considered by many to be one of the most haunted cities in America. 3. The Witch’s Condo

4. The Haywood House
This second Savannah rental was home to an ice merchant known as Alfred Haywood, who later became Mayor of Savannah. If you like being scared, perhaps a ghost tour and then a walk through the cemetery would add a little excitement during the Halloween season.
5. Transylvanian Villa

6. Blairmont Coach House
This peaceful town is home to one of Scotland’s most haunted castles, Glamis Castle. Besides being the setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the castle is well-known for housing several victims who died a tragic death. The Grey Lady is its most famous ghost and can be seen in front of the altar praying. According to several legends, the castle even has a vampire – a woman servant who was caught sucking blood from her victim and subsequently walled up alive in a secret room. Scary? We think so.
7. Ray Bradbury House
This classically restored home was once owned by Ray Bradbury, famous sci-fi, horror, and mystery writer – best known for his novels The Martian Chronicles and The Illustrated Man. The house holds a sense of mystery and eeriness which makes this rental perfect for a creepy Halloween trip.
8. French Quarter Home
This former bordello, now a charming bed and breakfast, lies in the heart of a haunted city. Familiar with the book Interview with the Vampire? Are you a fan of Lestat? This is the city to be in. From vampire stories to actual vampire sightings, New Orleans is a vampire fan’s dream. And, even if you’re not too fond of vampires, the city is known for having several ghostly visitors.
9. Casa Murguia
In Mexico, ‘Dia de los Muertos’ trumps Halloween any day. And if you’re planning on taking a vacation there, Oaxaca is the place to be to watch a traditional celebration. Come observe the indigenous people of Mexico reunite at family gravesites. Or, browse through the shops and pick up the handcrafted candy skulls known as calaveras. The best part? Dia de los Muertos runs for three days, starting at October 31st and ending November 2nd.
10. Mill Stream Cottage
The location of the UK’s Most Haunted Home, the Borley Rectory. According to legend, the rectory had a wayward nun who fell in love with a monk. When they attempted to elope together, the monk was executed and the nun was bricked up in the cellar. Today, almost every resident of the rectory has experienced apparitions and it continues to have an eerie hold over the quaint English village.
